Næstved ZOO is the only Danish zoo that could show a rare white tiger, playing in its own space of more than 5,000 square metres.
You can also walk around among the animals. The deer are curious and the donkeys like to be patted. You can also touch a boa constrictor or see the gila lizard, the world's most poisonous lizard.
The fact that so many of the animals have offspring is a sign that the animals are thriving in the big park. The giant American bison, the small Vietnamese boars, the mischievous African dwarf goats, and the cute South American silk apes all have healthy young.
As you tour the park, you will notice the beautiful natural surrounds, the wide open space, and the peace and quiet that descend on the prairie, the animals and not least - on you! Take a picnic basket along or eat lunch at Vandhullet (the Waterhole). At the natural playground, children and grown-ups can spend hours jumping on the 170 square meter bouncing pillow - the largest in South Zealand.
