With their Viking ancestry and 7,300 km of coastline and 406 islands it's not surprising the Danes are keen sailors! Many Danes still ply the ocean waves in their spare time and this is one of the reasons why you can always find a welcoming marina with good facilities within sailing reach. The Danish waters are well charted and there are more than 270 marinas and countless ports of call to choose from.
On arrival in the Småland Sea, you'll find both large and small harbours to welcome you ashore. No fewer than four ports of call, each with their own charm and aspect on offer. The popular seaside resort of Karrebæksminde actually has three harbours: “Søfronten“, the Karrebæksminde outer and inner harbours. Further inside the fjord is the Næstved Kanal harbour – a brand new harbour at the mouth of Næstved's canal.
