- In the 1960s and 70s Copenhagen gained a reputation as an international jazz capital after numerous American jazz musicians set up home in Denmark.

- Denmark has a rich classical music scene with seven full symphony orchestras and music conservatories, festivals and more in all regions of the country.

- In Denmark the festival scene attracts the biggest names but still leaves room for tomorrow’s rising stars. The most legendary is Roskilde Festival, which is one of the largest in the world, but the festivals in Skanderborg and Langeland are also firmly on the European rock-festival map.
